there are a lot of variables so you will need to be a little more specific...

You can transfer money under the personal tab and there are no fees, but if it is an eBay transaction you are being paid for then there are fees associated with this but it depends on what amount you are paying.

you will need to provide more information to get a definite answer.

paypal charge a flat .30c plus a %

oh and $1.50 to transfer amounts under $100 from your paypal account to your bank.

so, as mini said above, more detail and you can have a more detailed answer.

That is such a rip off, Especially seeing as how they make us use it. In future I guess I will add a little extra for PP and offer a discount for Direct Debit

I just looked 2.4% plus .30c is the fee
so thats 2.4% of $50 = 1.20 plus .30c =1.50

under their user agreement you are not allowed to add extra for paypal, nor are you allowed to offer discounts for direct debit,
all buyers must have the option to choose how they pay you from the payments you offer, and all must be treated equally.

Paypal and Ebay are owned by the same people, so surely it isnt right that they also charge you for the P&H?

val.. paypal is a payment facilitator, and they charge a %commission on the transaction, same as the credit card companies do for Shops with merchant facility.

if you buy a $1000 tvfrom Myer, and they charge $75 delivery, you pay with visa card,
visa charge myer a transaction % on the whole $1075..
same with paypal.

sellers really should NOT expect the buyer to WAIT for delivery until you transfer to your bank, delivery should be made the day after you get the funds in your paypal account

Why should I have to post the NEXT day especially when I dont have the cash to do it with???? If it was paid into my bank account I have the money, as for the CC scenario you mentioned, I have a CHOICE if I wish to use a credit card and get slugged with the fee's. In Future I will list that paying by PP will cause a delay as I have to wait for the money to hit my account to pay for postage because Australia Post DONT accept PayPal

Well if you don't like them ripping you off, don't sell things here on eBay!

Very good point, I might have to go else where or just become a Postage Pirate like so many here are, Ebay seems to encourage it anyway
