yep, my sister is lucky there, all the contacts in perth between my father and my brother, that she is getting things done to her place at cost, no labour being charged :shrug:

Back in the day most first houses were not the best.... they had icky brown tiles and such.... these days (not saying you at all!!) Gen Y expects to move into a super modern gorgeous 4 bedroom house on their first house buy.

I'd go for it if you can find one.

As long as it's your own 'patch of dirt' in the world, you can live with it :) It's amazing what you can overlook, when you know it is yours.

Our first house needed lots of work done to it, and we had started to, bit by bit.

In the end it didn't matter, because we sold it a few years later, before we finished it and made a small profit.

And as for how long it takes to do things, we have been in this house 11 years and only renovated the much needed kitchen 2 years ago.

I'm still waiting to get the bathrooms done, but it will, in time :)

trav will be here in january for a few days, but to spend time with the speedway boys lol

sssh i am going to end up with a house in feralsville, Im adapting and becoming more feral everyday :-D
