Hi

If you haven't yet noticed there is an announcement from ebay on the right side of the page that they are ending their vehicle purchase protection program.

The link to the announcement is here

You should be aware of these changes f you are planning to purchase a vehicle after the 23rd November.

Wonder what happens to any poor sod who buys now and needs to make a claim? Wolves and thrown come to mind as I'm sure that the insurer wont be keen on paying out knowing there is no premium coming in next year to offset the payments this year.

Good point - it is a pity there isn't anyone from ebay on this forum to explain this announcement. I am not sure whether there are any Pinks around anymore - I think they were all laid off.

There has been posts here in the past of people that have used that protection and did get a result after 18 months.
It was/is a toothless tiger IMO.

The new statement of the seller is responcible for the listing is all the protection that risk taking buyers have in the future.

If someone is giong to spend good money on a car that could be a lemon they should have it checked out or the seller should be made to supply a pink slip..

I love their reason/excuse I reckon insurance companies only delete strands of insurance because they are losing money iether through non participation or excess claims
